BSO parents are encouraged to take an active role in their child's education. Educational studies show that the children of parents who are involved in, and are knowledgeable about, what is happening in school do better academically, socially, and emotionally.
We encourage all parents to ensure you have access to Power School Parent Portal, where you can track your child's progress and have up to date information about marks, assignments due, and when assignments are not being handed in. We will also be sending you a monthly attendance and progress report to keep you up to date on your child's level of attendance and how swiftly they are moving through coursework. You can also view your child's marks on CANVAS, our learning management system.

If you have any concerns, we encourage you to contact us immediately so we can work together to solve the issue. We are open Thursday nights until 6pm to provide students with extra help, as well as to provide time for parents to stop in and meet with us.
